The Actors’ Intensive (TAI) – Los Angeles, April 2020
About: The Australian Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA) is proud to offer passionate actors the opportunity to study a short, but highly intensive program with what is inarguably some of the best faculty to be assembled in the US. (List available on request). Not limited to one method or philosophy, this program gives students a challenging and inspiring experience with a fresh curriculum for 2020. We have compressed the three week course into two weeks so that students avoid missing school and can return with a few days to recover and get their feet back on the ground before returning to school. Students take classes in US accent, scene study, improv, self-taping, audition preparation and technique, the ‘business’ of show business, commercials, and audition technique with top casting directors. Each class is taught by a practitioner with expertise in that particular area of study. We know that there isn’t a course like this anywhere and we are confident that the content, tutors, expected level of achievement, pacing and the intensity will keep actors challenged, inspired and engaged.
To Audition: All new applicants must apply, audition and be accepted by an AIPA staff member or one of their trusted partners. As a benchmark has been provided, the decision to accept a student into the programme will be made at the initial audition. Auditions will be conducted in Sydney, Los Angeles and via Skype. Please contact the Sydney office 02 9966 4473 firstname.lastname@example.org or the LA office email@example.com to be sent materials and set a time.
Ages: This course is for actors aged 12 – 19 years.
Dates: This programme will run in the April 2020 School Holidays
